Main Window
This chapter explains the eTuner main-window status bar, common entry points, and window behavior. Most functions require a drive connection before parameter, motion, recording, or status operations can be used.
Main-Window Status Bar
| Area | Purpose |

| Current connection ID | Shows the current drive ID after connecting and clears it after disconnecting. Before changing parameters, moving, or saving, confirm that it identifies the target device. |
| Connection/enable state | Shows Disconnected before connection, then Disabled or Enabled according to the drive state. |
| Version information | After connecting, the software reads device information such as firmware version and serial number. Some information is display- or diagnosis-only and requires no user action. |
eTuner does not connect to a drive automatically at startup. Most function buttons remain unavailable until a connection is established.
Language and Basic State
- After starting the client, select Simplified Chinese or English at the top of the main window.
- On first entering the main window, check that the status bar shows Disconnected.
- Click Connection to open Target Connection and establish communication.
- After connecting, verify the current connection ID, connection state, and enable state before using another function.
Interface text changes with the selected language. During field operation, rely on the device ID and state shown in the current interface; an open window alone does not confirm a successful connection.
Common Entry Points

| Status Monitor | Views real-time status, warnings, position, speed, current, temperature, inputs, and outputs. | Settings in the Status Monitor window adjust the monitoring display; they do not write device parameters. |
| Information | Views read-only information for the connected device or module. | Confirms model, firmware, and hardware information; it does not edit device data. |
| Save | Saves modified parameters to drive Flash. | Apply parameters before clicking Save. Wait about three seconds and do not power off, disconnect, switch target devices, or send another command until saving is confirmed. |
| Stop | Stops or exits the current enabled or motion-related state. | Does not replace a field emergency stop. Before motion, confirm that this entry point is available and safe stopping conditions exist. |
| Recorder | Acquires, displays, triggers, and saves operating data. | Do not click the entry repeatedly while Recorder is open or acquiring data. |

Opening Windows
- Click a main-window button to open the corresponding feature window.
- If the window is already open, clicking again normally brings it to the foreground.
- After closing or hiding a window, open it again from the main window.
- When disconnected, the software clears the connection state and closes or disconnects several feature windows.
An open window does not prove the device is online. Before writing, saving, moving, or resetting, verify the current connection ID, status bar, and target device.
